The Super Bowl is over and what a great game it was, but other than those who were actually invested in the game, the big buzz as usual is about the commercials. Every year the commerciasls get better and worse. This year was no different, there were a lot of sappy ones and a lot of funny ones and some new movie trailer releases. For me one the one that stood out the most was the Nationwide commercial featuring the comedic actress Mindy Kaling. It was about her feeling that she was invisible to people because no one ever really notices her. So, she begins to think that perhaps she really is invisible and starts to do things under the assumption that no one can see her. It ends with her happening to see Matt Damon, another actor, eating at some restaurant and her wanting to go over and get a kiss from him, because she can its not like he'll notice it. However, sadly, she does not get what she wants because Matt Damon does see her and says that he doesn't want to Kiss Mindy when offered or almost forcefully forced into kissing. Mindy walks off with the right tone and pitch in her voice saying, "I didn't want to kiss you either Matt Damon" Its was sarcastic, funny and pitiful all at once.
In the end the commerical is all about selling its product and service and what better platform to use that a commercial between the most watched sporting event in America. So it is safe to say that the Super Bowl is a very important media platform to use when as a company you want to get your name and message out to as many viewers as possible. You get to take advantage of the number of viewers and if your commercial is good or bad enough, it will get talked about to those that might not have seen it the next day while at work or school. Not to mention that over the years the price to do a commercial during the super bowl has gone up in to the millions, so yeah, its very safe to say that the Super bowl is very important because it is also the Superbowl of Commercials not just football
